Important Dates for Tech Week

Saturday, May 12th -- 9:00 am-2:00 pm\ We will be holding rehearsal earlier in the day due to Cheverly Day. The full cast will be called for a run through with the orchestra.

Sunday, May 13th -- time TBD Flying rehearsal. Actors in the following roles are required to come to a late afternoon/early evening flying rehearsal for approximately 4 hours: Peter Pan, Wendy, Michael, John, Jane, Aliza. We will determine a more exact time, and probably a staggered schedule as this date approaches, but for now, we ask that you block off 4:00 pm-10:00 pm.

Parents who are going to be assisting with the flying back stage are required to be at this rehearsal as well so that you can learn how to do it and practice. If you can come assist with loading in the flight equipment as well it will give you a better sense of how everything is rigged. Load-in of that equipment will be approximately 8:00 am-4:00 pm.

Set Load-In: For parents helping with set load-in, we will likely begin late morning and will determine a more accurate time as the date gets closer.

Monday, May 14th 4:30- 10:00 pm Cue to cue tech rehearsal at the Publick Playhouse. All actors in both casts must be present. We will ask everyone to bring a few dollars for pizza and have a brief dinner break.

Tuesday, May 15th: 5:00-10:00 pm Dress Rehearsal. All actors in both casts must be present. Please note that we will make every effort to end by 10 pm but because these are dress rehearsals we may run over. Please eat dinner before you come.

Wednesday, May 16th: 5:00-10:00 pm Dress Rehearsal. All actors in both casts must be present. Please note that we will make every effort to end by 10 pm but because these are dress rehearsals we may run over. Please eat dinner before you come.

Thursday, May 17th-Sunday, May 20th Actors will need to arrive at the Playhouse 1 ˝ hours before the scheduled show time. We will be assigning which cast will perform at which shows shortly.

  • Sun May 13th - load-in/setup*
and flying rehearsal for all actors who will fly and flying assistants

Important Notes about Tech Week and Show Dates

  • There are “field trip shows” on the mornings of Thursday, May 17th and Fri. May 18th. Your child will be required to miss school on one or both of these days in order to perform. Normally, absences are excused because schools benefit from bringing students to see the show. We will write a letter for you to give to your teacher/principal asking for an excused absence.
  • Parents please note times for set load-in and strike. We’ll need your help at these times since only those 16 and older are allowed to help due to Publick Playhouse guidelines.
  • We will need help from parents during all shows, including the weekday monrning shows.
  • Any conflicts for tech week or show dates/times must be sent to producers ASAP.
